Eating Whole Foods, does this mean that I have to shop at the Whole Foods Market?

Not necessarily, with today’s economy most people are trying to stay within a certain household budget. If you know how to shop you don’t have to be afraid of Whole Foods MarketWhen shopping at any market try to stay within the perimeter of the store. STAY AWAY from all of the pre-packaged foods which tend to be loaded with artificial flavors, colors, added salt or fat.

Can you pronounce it? So often we blindly put things in our cart without ever reading the labels. Always look at the first three ingredients which is a dead give away to what is mostly within the packaging. These ingredients are always based upon quantity so the first ingredient is the most prominent  and then so on.  If sugar is what you want to cut out of your diet read the ingredients. Sign up for our Healthy Grocery Tour to get help navigating through your grocery store.  Don’t buy anything you can’t pronounce.

Whole Foods - These are foods that are as nature intended them. It either came out of the ground, or from a tree, less process is always safer than highly processed.  It is better to buy a whole tomato than a can of tomato juice. baked potato with the skin is a better option than potato chips. Anything with whole grains is of course an excellent choice (remember…. GRANDMOTHER RULE).

Eat more plants - Raw Foods is not for everyone but adopt some of the rules. If you can’t go completely raw follow the 60%-40% rule with plant based foods being 60%. These foods are loaded with fiber, plants and important nutrients for our body. Let us show you how at SoNaturelle.
