I am sure that you would be surprised to know that the average North American home is more polluted than the air outdoors. The EPA (environmental protection agency) found that toxic chemicals are frequently  10-20 times higher  indoors than out.  Amazing isn’t it.  

Chemical household cocktails can be dangerous and even deadly if mixed together. Sometimes we can be exposed to chemicals in low levels over a longer period of time and wonder why we are sick.  Making the connection to our homes is not always easy.

How am I exposed to toxin in my home?

There are two major souces of contaminants in a home-biological and chemical. The former includes molds, bacteria, dust mites, pollen and animal dander. Chemical contaminants include combustion gases, pesticides, asbestos, formaldehyde and volatile aorganic compounds (VOC’s) The later is most often found in paints and household products.

What are my options?

There are so many safe products you can use to reduce your sensitivities. Just plain old-fashioned vinegar, lemon juice and baking soda will do the trick just as well. Remember these items were around long before the chemicals took over the market. Many of these chemicals have side effects such as headaches, confusion, lack of concentration, and can even mimic symptoms of mental illness. Some lead to respiratory, as well as liver and kidney disorders. We welcome them into our systems via the lungs or by absorbing them through our skin. Our skin is our largest organ and can easily be compromised by products that we use on a daily basis. All natural ingredients are environmentally friendly and safe for your health.
